Mend Citroen AX Remove Removed

How can I remove my Citroen AX gearbox to get at the clucth?

I have removed all bolts and linkages from my AX gearbox but cannot get it more than 1/2" away from the engine despite rocking and levering. It seems stuck inside...

Am I missing anything?

There shouldn't be anything in the way....I'm wondering if the flywheel bush has picked up on the gearbox input shaft though and maybe it can't pass through the friction plate?
