I just found some old audio cassettes on mine that had my old band on it. well when i went to play them they are slowed down greatly and make some wierd sounds, how can I restore my tapes back to the way they were?

yes I was going to suggest fast fwd and rev several times but if tht dont wrk you may be able to get a variable speed recorder (i have one bouht in abt 1980 a phillips ...might come up on ebay...if you have any tech knowledge upping the volts to the motor would up the speed)

I had a similar thing happen to me as I`m an old rocker who was gigging in the 60/70s. The first thing to try is fast forward (both ways) several times. If that doesn`t work (as it didn`t for me) I approached the local music shop who sent me to a small recording studio where they had a variable speed player. They produced a CD from my tapes and it cost me £20
