Daewoo Matiz SE - V reg?

Hello,

Sounds like the window motor to me.

My friends Matiz started to play up, then suddenly stopped working all together. I removed the door trim and gently pressed the outer casing of the motor; The window started to work again and then finally stopped. I pulled the motor apart and have discovered that the motor was worn out.

I am now trying to source the part.

How much did they charge you Harry? I am no mechanic, but it only took me a couple of hours.

Certainly it could easily be a window motor fault thats causing the problem and it is possible to check it externally by seeing if 12v is leaving the window switch - if it is, then almost certainly its a motor problem....I can't tell if the door trim card has been interfered with though, but the entire diagnosis - such as it is - should take less than one hour.

Hi Harry, if they were careful, as they should be, you wouldn't know if the panel had been removed, if you are still doubtful get a second opinion and ask to be present while they fault find maybe use a mobile mechanic so they do the job outside your house and you can stand there while they work
