Depends on the car! but you need to 1 locate the sump plug. with hex key 8-12 mil depending on car (buy from halfords).
make sure you have ran your car for about 5-10 min, let it cool for about 10-15 min after (this is to warm the oil so that it can be removed easly.
Now open the sump plug, the oil will gush stright out (make sure you have a drainer under it. the plug should fall in or you can catch it, keep it safe. give the oil 15 min to drain.
2 locate the oil filter. should work on left to lossen and right to tight. move the filter towards the left of the car. i would use a oil filter rench. again oil will fall out make sure you have a drainer to hand. if filter does not want to come out then you can hamer a screw driver through it. this is very messy and long winded.
3. place the new filter on the thread, before you do that smire some old or new oil which ever is easier, on the sil around the filter its self.
4 tighten the sump plug. (make sure all washers are there)
5 fill with oil. keep checkin the levels. most cars are 4-5 l capacity.
6 once done top up if requried. then drive ! and enjoy
Hope that helps
