If you have all the pieces then use crazy glue. But be very careful when placing it. If it messes up it's messed up for good

The same thing happened to me. The straightener was dropped onto a ledge and then onto the floor. A piece about 1/4 wide by 1" long broke off the side of the plate. Since it wasn't the entire plate, I have continued using it but every time I do now there is white foam that comes out of the hole. (sort of like dried hairspray bits) I don't use any product on my hair so i have no idea what this is. Is there any way for me to fix the plate?
