what will my deisel van sond like if iput petrol in it?

to avoid engine/fuel system damage-dont run engine untill fuel system and tank is drained of the petrol, and re-fill with diesel, fully bleed system and start up, let vehicle idle for a short while to ensure pump is working on fresh diesel.if you havent run engine for long with petrol in you may get away without damage!
