engine problem -mountfield mb22cx 2stroke strimmer?

when the throttle is pressed the engine cuts out after a few seconds. what is the cause of this and how can it be fixed?

Hi William,
It sounds like a blocked or defective carburettor - unless you are used to dismantling these small diaphragm controlled carbs, I strongly suggest taking to a specialist garden machinery repairer.
