My mini digger engine stops straight after it starts. I can make it carry on working by disconnecting a wire that connects to a " pusg to stop" button. The problem with doing this is that if i do that I can no longer stop the engine with using the key.
Does anyone know if this is a sensor of some description ?
I just fitted a new switch to one of these. The stop solonoid needs power to stop the engine. ie oposite way around to a car. sounds to me the ignition swith is faulty, also check that the fuel pump is working. It makes a clicking sound when the ignition is swithced on.

sounds to me as though the "kill" switch is faulty, though it is a little strange that the motor won't switch off with the key...did you just disconnect the wire or did you bridge it?
