My local garage informs me that they may have to remove the whole of the front panel in order to get to the heater box as one of the viens as broken, plus the fact that it takes approx 5 hours to remove the panel? not been a mechanic do I take they word.

The blower motor is on the side of the heater box you need to remover the glove box. There is a push in clip on the side of the motor then you need to rotate the motor to release it.
