could anyone tell me where i can get blades from for my gardenline battery grass trimmer model no 6687 that i bought from Aldi, i have been looking on internet with no success,i have phoned after sales support the phone is disconnected

I took the strimmer to a hard ware store...I just changed mine it needed a black and decker brand spool to fit it, Garden line does not appear to make spares for their strimmer

Bought 28 cc Petrol Trimmer about 18 months ago, the Bump Head or cutting end has ceased and requires re-placement. Please advise cost etc of replacement.

You dont need to buy a replacement spool. All you need to do is replace the line (cord). I had to change it today, just ease the plastic protector type thing off of the spool and wind on a length. It's a bit of a pain but a lot cheaper than buying new spools.

Distributors for the line trimmer are Walter Tools, 2,Kingsthorpe Park, Henson Way, Kettering, Northants. NN16 8PX . I just got my (aldi) strimmer fixed in a 'lawnmower' place (head needed replacing as it had 'loosened' from the fixing screw. Guy dit it in about 30 min for 15 euro.

18 volt strimmer 2 years old. Trying to obtain help through all numbers and websites featured is a total waste of time. believe me i have tried.next step aldi direct. not holding my breath.

Just an update. The Spares department at Einhell UK who made the Gardenline Strimmer for Aldi can be reached directly by emailing spares[at]einhell.co.uk or phoning +44.1516 491 512.

Guys in Spares Dept. are pleasant enough but don't seem to know the Aldi/Gardenline products (prob. never see them as poss. produced in European factory) so it can be difficult to reconcile the Gardenline/Aldi product number with their own internal Einhell numbers. I ended up taking pictures of every label on the strimmer and emailing them one by one until we discovered the magic number.

Hopefully part will arrive later this week - will post part number once know it's correct

You can obtain replacement spools from Walter Tools (GB) Ltd by calling them on 01536 410533. They cost £7.50 for two spools and a spare spool cover.
