How can I fix my washing machine Servis 1100rpm?

My Servis 1100rpm stopped during the middle of a cycle without spinning, and now it will not even turn on! when i press the on button the light does not come on.
I have pulled it away from the wall and all of the pipes are still in place. I have tried leaving it over night but it stil won't come on! Please help, this is quite urgent as it is actually my Dads washing machine and I want it to be working again before he comes back from holiday!
any advice would be appreciated. thanks
