Mend Hotpoint WD865 Remove Top Cover

How do I remove the top cover from my Hotpoint WD865?

Having removed the 2 rear screws and thumped the front of it, it will not slide backwards and I am scared of doing it damage. There surely must be a different fixing for the front besides just sliding it backwards. Any help will be appreciated and thanks in advance

Hi, me again with an update.
It is very very tight but just to confirm that once the 2 rear screws have been full removed, a few good thumps and the lid will slide backwards and can then be lifted off.
