Mend Nissan Almera S Car Bought 2000

why are the blowers in my car throwing out constant heat?

i have just bought a 2000 w reg nissan almera s it has air con but this doesn't work and also when you turn the air con off the blowers throw out constant heat even on the cool setting, any ideas of what the problem might be? thanks

thanks for that, the knob just clicks as you move it round but there is no other sound, would it be a big job to fix do you think?

Sounds like the heat control knob is either mechanically disconnected or the air diverter flap is stuck. Can you hear anything when you turn the knob? If you can't there's a good chance the knob is slipping on the control shaft.
