tumble dryer does not get things dry?

john , as louise says, sounds like the heating element is broken and needs to be replaced,depending on your make/model it is fairly easy to do yourself...

Sounds like you need a new heater element, they are about £35 from most spares shops, pretty easy to replace, just remove the back panel and unplug the existing one the connect the new one, I have changed my Hoover Dryer heater about 4 times now and the machine is 6 years old, hope this helps
