Trouble starting Vauxhall Vectra 2.0DTi (2002 - new model)?

When car is left overnight on a hill facing uphill, it takes few times to get car going but if facing downhill, it starts first time! What's causing this?

Check the bleed off/return pipes from the top of the fuel injectors, they prob have a thin hole in one allowing the fuel to syphon back to the tank. (my dads vectra (same engine) had this problem. they will prob be saturated with diesel too so give area as steam clean after to prevent fire risk.
