my digilogic freeview box now has a second red light?

Had exactly the same problem with digilogic dstb1000 this weekend. Seems to be no solution. Unfortunately it's difficult to recommend any box to replace it since with digital switchover many may become obsolete again. Seems criminal to me that Ofcom cannot demand a more user friendly approach to this switchover which is not customer led yet affects every customer. Rather like HD which even the TV producers don't want as it is more expensive to create HD productions. Pity more isn't put into the quality of the productions instead of making junk look better. Silk purse or sow's ear?

Budget boxes are not worth repairing. They were only about fifteen quid new. Bin it and buy a new one.
