AMAZING. I was thinking "oh no" a few hundred dollars to fix this and having to take off work for a repair guy. Never knew a filter existed on a washer. Mine was clogged up with clear plastic mailing tape!! Cleaned it all out and works like a charm. Cant thank you enough!

Does the drain pump motor ever burn out? It's been replaced 2 years ago, but after numerous obstructions the motor doesn't work? Please let me know, I've cleaned all inlets and outlets and taken the magnetic motor out a cleaned the gunk but it still doesn't work

Worked perfectly once I cleaned the hose before the filter, had to tip the machine on its back to undo the clamp but was reasonably easy. Thanks for the help guys

Thank you all. Like the others all of you were a great help. I also saved by using your comments and WOW my problem solved. Call out plus labor and they probly would have replaced the pump. Your value R1000+
What I added though after cleaning the filters and ensuring all the drain pipes were also clean was I blew into the drain pipe and heard the bubbles going back into the maching. My machine now spins better than it has been. Thank you once again to all.

Thanks. Took out the drain plug found a coin and now working perfectly fine! samsung service engineer had suggested to get drain pump changed and we were waiting for past one week for new pump to arrive and have it fixed.

Took mine apart and found elastic band wrapped around motor fan behind the filter, quick removal of the unit and said elastic band and its now working again!!!

check the wiring of the drain valve sometime may be cut or rusted. Check the filter stuck coins or check between the drum and body some clothes may be stuck.

Woo hoo! After many hours dealing with a filter that wouldn't come out - it would unscrew a bit, but only a bit!- I undid the bottom of the whole machine, popped the white plastic kick-board off the bottom, undid the two screws holding the filter to the metal casing of the whole machine, and then used a screwdriver to get inside the filter and wrench the filter out. I broke the filter, but that glued back together very easily!
The problem? I had been doing some felting in the washing machine and all the little bits of stick from the rolling mats had broken off and were totally clogging up the filter, and the tube leading to the filter too! It was some serious cloggage happening there.
My advice - don't do your felting in the washing machine!

We cleaned the filter and still didnt work. it's important that you also remove the debri behind the filter. Just use your finger to scrape it out. behind the filter is a little fan that needs to rotate. Once that is spinning because its no longer clogged up, it should work.

1.) Pop the filter plug out and clean out any coins and blockages.
2.) If the water still only trickles out of the draining hose, pause the washer and blow air down the hose, you should hear the water inside the unit bubble a few times. If you don't hear bubbles, the hose is still blocked.
3.) Drain the load, empty the washer of clothes (if you haven't already done so) and run a rinse & spin cycle. You should repeat this until the water runs clear from the drain hose.
* * If the system still wont drain after these steps, then you may have burnt out the pump. Return it to the manufacturer if under warranty, or seek a professional to repair the unit. * *

I found nothing in debris filter but once I pulled out the drainage hose from machine to debris filter I found $1.40. 'SE' problem still remains. Smelt electrical when first occured could it be now a burnt out pump from the blockage?

Hi, had similar problem.If filters are clean, there could be little coins or other small items blocking the water flow. Try to put the machine upside down, shake it nicely and then bring the machine back to normal position-helps for a while. I did not managed to take coins out and probably one day my washing mashine will have proper service. Good luck.

take filter out and clean.. if nothing then go under the machines to see the holes where to fit the filter.. there's could be stuck or something inside the holes.
