card for sky plus?

Ive just bought a Sky Plus box from ebay to replace my original one as the hard drive had gone and id lost the pause and record functions, the guarentee had expired and wasnt willing to pay another £100 to sky for a new one. Anyway, the newly purchased one seems to be working ok with my original veiwing card except i cant watch any of the sky movie channels...the message on screen says...this is the wrong card for this set top box, insert the correct viewing card....
does anyone have any ideas how i can can get around this without contacting sky?

go to survices on you sky box and press the following code 4, 0, 1, SELECT it should give you the hidden setup installation guide go over to new installation make sure your box is connected to telephone prt and start the new installation, follow the on screen instructions and it should ask you to press select on call back, your box is regastering your card to your box now you can enjoy your movies and sports in peace, any more trouble contack me on my email addy provided as my name pbviously its all one word

Contact Sky and they will pair your card with your box you just bought.

i have just rang them and they did it while i waited, took 2 minutes, all working fine now. result

You need to call customer service and let them know to serial number of the new bow box so there can match it to your card. This is copy protection, so boxes can not be easily chipped, with someone else's card number.

You need to call Sky Customer Services and get the new box and your old card 'paired'. They will do this while you wait and there is no charge.
