error code e1 appears how do i fix it?

how i fix E1 error on a royal 500dx cash register e1 error

no matter which button I press to try and clear it it still beeps and says E1 wont even let me hit NS to open the drawer.. I have to continue to hit C to stop it from beeping I cannot do a sale normally I type in price then hit 1/9 I cannot even hit 1/9 its E1 so I have to keep hitting C button cant do any sales, o ly way to open drawer it amt tend total

its a ROYAL 5100DX electronic cash register, weve had nothing like this happen b4 had it for 6 months checked the paper and all that no problems there just cant do any sales or anything else actually without E1

Hi. E1 simply means you pressed the wrong button. What are function are you trying to do?
