Yeh, use coat hangers, or stiff wire of some sort - dont bother buying the tools from websites, as they are basically just pieces of wire, bent into U shapes.

What year? Ford use's a "U" shaped tool for removing the radio.
Coat hangers can be used. Cut and bend them into a "U" shape.
You will see 2 small holes on both side of your head unit. Slide them in and push out on both. this unlocks the deck and it will slide out for you.
