how can i fix my poulan rider with a briggs &stratton13.5hp i/c engine?

when i jump start the battery, it starts . the battery is new and was charged . when you shut it off , it won't restart

Your charging system is not working. Its either a regulator or the stator(alternator). you need to check the power coming out of the stator and make sure its working. You will continue to lose batteries until its fixed.
