why do i have to put my gas valve into test to get my boiler to work?

i have a worcester 24 cdi boiler and i have to put the gas pressure switch into test mode to get the boiler to ignight.
is it possible that my control board is faulty??????

Does sound like a board problem, I had the same on a Volkara, turned out to be the board!
