Mend DeWalt DC988 Drill Cordless Keyless

how can I fix my drill?

I have a dewalt hammerdrill and the chuck is locked up with a bit in it. Is there any way I can get the keyless chuck off with the bit still in it?The model is a DC 988 18v cordless drill.
