I can't find the chassis number?

Hello everyone.
I just bought a renault megane classic '97,but i can't find the chassis number on the car.I don't have the ownership papers yet and i need the number to book an NCT test.Does anyone know were is the damn thing;Thanx

Normally you can find the chassis number in at least two places, on the bonnet slam panel and under a flap by the drivers seat RHD or at the bottom of the windscreen passenger side RHD where it shows how many airbags fitted
