Are you in the UK? We have a faulty 42" rear screen TV that we are getting rid of because the convergence card is broken. If you want to pick up and give us 30 quid, it's yours - the screen is in fine condition as is everything else.

You need to replace the skin. Just done it on a Samsung 60in and the skin cost $117NZD. Intalled it myself though so that kept cost down. The skin was double layer and it was only the external layer scratched on mine. I'd say the internal screen would cost more $$.
