remove the door and set it on a towel or something soft (if you don't you will more than likely scuff the chrome as i did). using a wide scewdriver you can prize the chrome trim off of the door on the side where the hinge slot is. it comes off really easy once its started. from this point you can get to the 2 screws which hold the locking mechanism. I asume you've already got the replacement handle which comes with all the bits you see on the old door catch. Use all of the parts, and make sure that you assemble the new catch and spring parts BEFORE remove the old one, taking note of how it goes together. Be sure to put the trim on the door before you slip the handle on as the trim won't go over the handle. it's as easy as that so be confident and save yourself some money.
