My Clio Mk2 does the same, I have had an auto electrician out and his machine says it is the body computer which could have water in it, he also says its a renault job. I have been down to Renault numerous times now and they are absolutely useless! they are not willing to help they just want the money out of you. However i did notice that there are some wires near the windscreen fluid lid and they are not very well protected. The problem only seems to occur on my car when it rains or when i fill the fluid up. Still not found out what the probelm is due to renault keeping tight lipped about the problems ith their cars. I will post again if i heaqr anything more. But in the meantime I suggest you try checking fuses and components for corrosion or to see if they have blown. Try speaking to your renault dealer and possibly seek help from an auto electrician. Does your car have a sunroof by any chance?
