how to fix sky+ box?

my skyplus box will not come on only the red light

sounds like a hard drive fault, follow the steps below you may need two people:-
1/ remove the supply (switch off at the mains)
2/ hold down the left and right button simultaniously, (these are between the select button), keep hold of the buttons untill all the green replay lights are on.
3/ let go and press the select button.
4/ wait two mins and press standby.
THIS IS A HARD DRIVE RESET.

my sky box will not come on only the red light the green flickers for bout 2 seconds then goes off and it just stays on standby

common problem is the hardrive, can cause them problems dunno about the tv though
