Just moved the machine to assess access (very tight fit), moved it a couple of inches and thought this is not going to be easy. Turned on machine before I called an engineer and guess what!!!!! a miracle. Thanks very much, very grateful

Hi there - I have tried this - there was water in the bottom which I have removed and dried, but the light still flashes and washer doesn't fill. The anti flood switch appears to work (i.e the float is free and it clicks the switch when raised). I've tried switching on and off/reversing the plug to the anti-flood switch (I didn't take note which way this went on) but still no use. Any thoughts ...?

GREAT!!! Thanks so much. Our dishwasher is in our house in the Greek mountains, so getting a Technician here would've been a nightmare. We pulled the dishwasher out, tilted it to one side, loads of water came out and now it is working again. Thank you!

Lovely job! Works again. Pull the machine out, unplug it from the mains and tilt it up making sure there's a towel down. Mop up water, Put it back, job done. Im going to congratulate my machine by buying it a new handle insert and cutlery basket from EBay!

Excellent advice that is still current :::: Switch off at the mains before you start:::::I just dropped the tray by removing the three screws to the front and three screws at the back and unplugging the wire to the sensor( just remember which wire colour is on top) remove the tray, drain off excess water, clean off and dry. Replace in reverse order, remember the wire colour. Switch back on and it works. Thanks for your help much appreciated.

Worked for me as well - ta very much !
Saved me a packet and obviously a lot of grief from the missus - I was even considering buying a new machine as we've had our machine 3 years and I'm sure an engineer would have charged a fair price

This means there is a leak inside the dishwasher. If you tilt the machine to one side water will probably pour out. If you put the machine on its side and take the bottom off (6 philips screws) The sheet metal cover will then come off with a flood sensor attached, made of polystyrene. This is sensor that triggered the error code. You can then check for leaks.

this worked for me thanks!!!! £150 saved!!!

Just read this forum. Cheers Richard!! Worked a treat.

Richard Sheath is correct it is water in the base panel triggering the float switch. Although it may not be a leak, my wife allows water to collect on the door when she empties it. As soon as you close the door this accumulated water runs into the base. Doesn't need much to trigger the switch probably a litre or so.

I found that their was a constant drip behind the large flat plastic pipe at the back of the machine when it was running. I removed the top tray inside the machine and tightened the large plastic nut on the inlet pipe to the top spray and the fault stopped!
