Mend Treadmill Help Running

Proactive home treadmill won't start?

Can anyone help. I was recently using my home treadmill, a Pro active fitness cardio trainer + running at top speed, 16kph and pushed a slow speed setting of 3kph to slow down. The belt slowed and suddenly stopped. I now cannot get it to start. All i get is an error code E1 which according to the manual is 'speed feedback problem'. Does anyone have any ideas please ????

On the older model (extreme treasmill)feedback e1 fault occur when read switch which counts number of turns.
Had been disconnected.
Check switch is operated by a little magnet fixed on the side of the belt roller pulley
Also connections any damage to cable or switch.
Hope this helps!!!

Hiya

I have just stumbled across this enquiry.

I work for ProActive Fitness and am very familiar with this model and the possibilities. Please however do not carry out any modifications to the machine. The advice here is given more as possibilities, and we would rather offer advice direct when we have a complete overview of the situation.

It may be a fault on the control board however and E1 error indicates a power issue and this can also be caused by running the machine through an extension lead. It may have worked fine for a time but the lead may have deteriated.

It may also be down to using the treadmill in a garage and having recently fitted an electric garage door.

So, there are a few reasons. I can obviously get more in depth. I would suggest sending an email direct to ourselves and we will loom to get the situation resolved.

Thanks

You may have a bad lower board. We need to try a test.

Stand on the side of you treadmill and push the belt with one foot.
Push the start button and keep pushing the belt..
If your treadmill belt starts to run, you may have bad motor brushes caused by a dirty or worn belt and deck.

If it doesn’t start but the speed is being read then you could have a bad lower board.
A loose motor wire could do this too. For further help You can contact me here,
