106 engine fault?

I have a new battery, less than 2mths old. When i try to start the engine, the power is there but the engine wont or even attempt to fire. I thought maybe a stuck starter motor/alternator?

can anyone suggest what else could be the cause and how i can fix it.

Amateur mechanic, but fairly confident
