engine will not start fault code 1630 egr valve malfuntion no engine management light not on. engine stared and stoped wont start now

Vauxhall Vauxhall Vectra 2.0 DI Vehicles, Cars Vauxhall Vectra 20

The EGR valve metal is the saucer shaped thing (about 2" in diameter) on top and in the middle of the inlet manifold. It's only held on by a few bolts and there's a piece of small diameter hose connected to it. Just undo the bolts and gently pull off the hose, remove and replace.
