dyson dc04 absolute how do I empty the wastebin?

Make sure vacuum is unplugged. Have a trash bag, newspaper or something availabe upon which to catch the dirt. Adding to what the previous person said, yes push the button on top (power button) and pull forward on handle to release bin from vacuum. You will press a button on top of the bin to open up the bottom. The trash comes out of the bottom so make sure you have something underneath it to catch it. Shut the door on the bottom and reattach to vacuum using the above directions in reverse.

You have to press the button on the top of the cylinder and pull forwards holding on to the handel on the front of the wast bin
