I have a VHS/DVD recorder. Now, when I try to record a dvd, I keep receiving a message on screen that the dvd will not record. This happens to any dvd I place in the machine. Does that mean the recorder has worn out?

Did you get your problem sorted out because my recorder does exactly the same and I am pulling my hair out trying to find the problem.
