How can fix my Audiophase 5 CD player?

a CD may be stuck so try shaking the component or unscrewing the lid and removing the CD's. make sure that there is nothing blocking the gears or the casing for it to open.Try unplugging the unit for 60 minutes, then plug back in and try it again. This will reset the processor and hopefully clear the fault. Then you can try several methods of cleaning the laser lens to see if it helps clear up the problem. The first (which hopefully you've already tried) is to purchase a CD/DVD laser lense cleaner disc, and run it through the system several times.

If your player is not reading any discs at all though, then try purchasing a can of compressed air (available at Staples, or Wal-Mart). Open the CD drawer, or remove the cover of the player by removing the screws on the sides and rear of the unit. Then spray the can approximately 10" from the lense itself to blow any dust off of it.

If it still does'nt work, you can opt to clean the lense eye itself, by using isopropyl alcohol, and a link-free cloth to gently wipe the "eye". Then use a dry spot on the cloth to buff the eye clean. If the CD player is still not reading discs, then the eye or transport mechanism is faulty and would need to be replaced.

buy a new one stop bieng cheep but you can bring it to private electronic repair services many localy but alas they can get expensive around $25
