how to fix full beam lights?

i have a renault espace quadra txe and all the electrics work except when i put the full beam on it cuts all the lights out ,the blue light on the dash display says it works all other lights work they only cut out when full beam used fro flashing or permanent .any ideas greatfull .i know my way around a car well but not used to playing with the electrics
