Mend Triton Biarritz II Leak Bathroom Shower

Triton Biarritz II?

When I connect the water upto the shower the shower does not stop the water from going all of the way through and out of the showerhead. The water continuously runs through and the only way taht i can stop it is by turning the water stop valve off.

Any ideas how to sort this
