How can I fix my ariston LB12T washing machine spin cycle?

The problem was indeed dry joint bad conection were plug goes into board save me getting a new motor or machine thanks for the solution good site

just fixed my ariston LB12T,same problem as above with the spin cycle,it was dry joint on the circuit board for the motor,check back of circuit bord around where the relays are soldered in.
circuit board can be found to the left hand side as you look from the back of the machine,down near the motor

Not sure if it is exactly the same but my washing machine was runnign through the full cycle but the drum never moved. The guy who fixed it said that it was a known problem on the circuit board for the motor which developes dry joints. It was quick to fix. He pulled it halfway ffrom the unit, tipped it back 45 degress and then went underneath and removed a circuit board from the back right corner. Soldered the board, put it back, pushed it in and job done!

I have had the same problem with my LB12T. Due to the fact that mine is an integral fitting, it is a real heavy lump to try and move in and out of it's location ,- under the kitchen top. I have had three so called ' specialists ' to sort it out and paid their call out charges and first hour's labour charge, and the problem still existed. I bought a new push on/off switch from Ariston Spares, and fitted it myself about two months ago. It has been working fine up until today, but now the darn thing has started playing up again. I have decided that I am not laying out any more money on a dead horse. I am now considering Miele or Bosch because I really believe they are worth the extra money. Some Miele machines come with either 5 year or 10 year guarantees too. That has to be a bonus worth having.

washing machines will not spin with water in them. you must have a drainage problem check filter and listen for the pump to see if it works also check under the sink for blockage
