The clocks in Mercedes cars are "interferance fit". All you need is a thin metal rod about 8" long with a small hook at the end which can be pushed down the side of the instrument pod where it meets with the dash. Turn the rods so they hook the pod and pull. Pull off all the plugs at the back of the clocks and unscrew the speedo cable. You'll also need a 10mm open end spanner to undo the pipe running to the oil pressure gague. With a bit of wiggling the clocks WILL pass the steering wheel, Just be careful not to force anything too much, cos a big scrape or indentation in your dash looks awful!!! The temp sensor can be a real pain. If i remember rightly it should be fixed to the front bumper (behind number plate) and runs up the drivers side inner wing into the fuse box at the bulk head.
