How can I remove the soap drawer from a Servis 1200 Washing Machine?

The manual says "press fabric conditioner where it says "Press" but I cannot see where it says this. The drawer stops half way out. When I try to press at rear to fabric conditioner compartment on the right side of the tray appears to be blocked on the left side.
