I've tried a number of different pieces of kit; xbox, dvd etc, and have come to the conclusion that the only scart socket on the TV is faulty. Is there anything i can do at home to fix this?
try opening the tv and if there is a red wire that is not in place then put it in place 2 of my tvs had the same problems and it worked

Try hoovering the scart sockets (with the tv of and unpluged). If this does not work then the boards have gone.. Try contacting Samsung UK as they are very helpful. Hope this helps.
