how can i fix a eror "m" code on my cd player?

Unplug the entire stereo system for a couple minutes and plug it back in

Just fixed my sisters unit with the same problem. I was Googling for new lamps for the inside and found this. You probably junked it by now.

For some reason it let her load 2 CD's in the same slot and got jammed. If you take the outer metal cover off there is a plastic piece marked "Manual CD Removal" on the top part of the plastic carousel cover which you can remove, there's only one screw holding it on. It is on the right and it is pie shaped.

I had to turn the carousel by hand until the CD's were in that spot and yank them out.

After that, with the cover still off I plugged it back in and out it through it's paces. Once, after about 15 or so load/unload cycles it tried to unload the CD from the playing area into the carousel and couldn't. I don't know why because there was no obstruction. The CD kept going back and forth until it gave up and gave me an M-ERROR. I turned it off and on again and it unloaded the CD with no problem.

This unit seems a bit temperamental. Good luck with it.
