If it is broken near the top, press in the slots where there is a black tab, the you can remove the plastic fitting and then the rubber fitting. the internal black piece is exposed and the broken part of the hose can be removed. trim the hose back to where it is not torn clipping the internal spring with a pair of nippers. then screw the hose onto the black piece and reassemble. You just saved $30 in 10 or 15 minutes.
