You will need to download the driver from Lexmark's website. Here is the link: http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?lxkprod=Lexmark+X1240

Make sure you select your operating system (XP or Vista). Be sure and install the driver software BEFORE you try plugging in the printer.
