After moving house I plugged in my fridge frreezer and it popped and smelt?

If a fridge has been moved and tilted over it should stand at least an hour to allow oil in the compressor to run back down and settle,it may be to late for you but take the fuse out and test it in something else,if it has blown replace with new fuse and try again as it should have settled down by now(1hour or more)if it blows again you need an engineer.
