I have a shark steamer that the top is stuck shut. how to open it?

I have question I came across my hand steamer and it seems the top is stuck on it. I wanted to do some cleaning before sold my home. I have had this for long time and only used it once I see no answers of how to get the top off and why is it stuck I know I did not put the cover on that tight. So I see more have the same problem with trying to get it off. Shark itself should answer this then. I have been loyal buyer of stark products, but barely used it once.

I have a blue Shark Steamer and the nozzle is not working. When I plug it in, it gets hot but nothing comes out. Is there a store I can take it to?

I have the same problem. Tried the strap wrench, monkey wrench, lock jaw pliers with no luck. I, too am looking for an answer instead of sending to back for repair at approx. $40.00

Try a strap wrench - it may help to plug it in and heat it up a little.
