how do I remove the string spool from my McCullogh electric grass trimmer?

How do I remove the spool from my model 2307 McCullogh electric grass trimmer so I can add line? I do not have an owners manual.

You have to remove the nut type thing that holds the string spool on, it needs to be turned clockwise to remove it. Mine had jammed so I used a pipe gripper to remove it, it took quite a bit of twisting to persuade it to come off, think it's a bit of a design fault. Mine is reluctant to autofeed line so I have to remove it quite regularly.
