Mend Renault Clio Rev Counter

Renault clio rev counter?

My rev counter is erratic to say the least. It seems to work for no more than a couple of minutes at a time.
Any ideas ??

Its most likely a loose connection behind the instrument cluster. i think the signal comes straight from the ECU on the clio. its most likely that its worked loose, or theres a loose/corroded earth for the instrument cluster. Pop it out, have a feel, and re-seat all the plugs and screws in there
