Power problems with my Polaroid FXM2611C?

I am having a problem with my Polaroid TV - it is about 4 months old and it doesn't want to turn on some of the time - after MANY power button attempts it will finally turn on. All other attempts will do one of two things - either the power light will change color for a moment or the DVD drive will make a noise and them the power indicator light will remain in the ON position - but nothing will work.

I am trying to figure out if it needs a main board or a power board.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe I also have a problem with the Poloroid fxm2611 television. It seems to take a few minutes before you get a picture. This started to occur around one month after purchase. I started researching online and it looks as if quite a few consumers have the exact problem and have no way of getting it solved. Bummer, it wasn't exactly cheap. It was for my son. I guess we may as well throw it away. We cannot find a solution.

surely if it 4 months old you have manufacturer/shop warranty?? I would try the warranty option first.

it does look like a powerboard issue however one cannot be sure unless one can test ALL the presumed faulty parts....
