Mend Singer 513

singer stylist 513 reverse button?

Reverse button looks like it sticks out further than before. Makes a few stitches forward then goes backward then forward. How can I try to fix this? All stiches are in about a one inch line before it goes the other way, does it over and over. not getting anywhere. Thanks

Hello Barbara,
Make sure you do not have the dial set on stretch stitch first of all, very easy mistake to make.
